Hello my sweet friends,

I wanted to send out this special newsletter to let you know about some exciting new things that are happening! I have continued to minister often at the Douglas County Jail and as you know, this past year I have been doing a weekly radio show, “Scandalous Grace with Karla Swanigan” on 94.7 FM The Word in Denver. This show has been an incredible ministry outreach and has given me the opportunity to share the Father’s heart to a much broader, diverse audience. The response has been so encouraging and uplifting. I have heard from several listeners that have have been impacted by the show. It also allowed me to host KRKS’ popular daily afternoon drive time show “Crosswalk” and make many other ministry connections. It has already been a great year of bringing God’s kingdom of Heaven to Earth.

OK! Now that you’re updated I have some really exciting news I would like to share with you about the next adventure God has called me to. Earlier this year while attending the dream conference at Bethel Church in California, the Lord made it very clear to me through an amazing set of circumstances that He was calling me to attend the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in the fall. After much prayer and consideration, I applied to the school and was accepted. John and I both recognize that this is the next step in my ministry with the Lord. I am so excited to experience all that God has for me during this next school year! Listen, I am truly exited about all this, but keepin’ it real I am also a little terrified. This will be a big adjustment for my family and my ministry in general.

So, please keep me and my family in your prayers as we begin to prepare for all that a move across country and setting up a second household will require. Especially since John and Evan will be staying here in Colorado for John’s business and Evan’s sophomore year of high school. As you can imagine there are many expenses including tuition and living costs ie. rent, utilities, travel to and from Colorado throughout the year, books and materials, etc. If you would like to financially support my first year of study at BSSM, I would be eternally grateful! Here is the link to donate directly to my tuition costs through my student page at BSSM on Bethel’s website. Or if you would like to help out our family with the other expenses, you may send your donation directly to me through Zelle (in your mobile banking app, using my phone number 303.880.4987) or by mail (14499 Furrow Rd, Larkspur, CO 80118).

Although I know this will be a time of great transition for me, my family, and the ministry God has called me too, I am ALL IN. Believe me, when we talk about “stepping out in faith with the Lord” in our messages and sermons, we don’t necessarily have the opportunity to LITERALLY put our faith where our mouth is, so to speak :). Though I will be in California studying hard, I will be continuing my “Scandalous Grace” show through my weekly podcast. This Saturday at 4pm will be my final show to air on the radio and I will be announcing it to my listeners at that time. I just wanted you guys to be the first to know before I announce it on Saturday. I will also continue keeping you updated through social media (FacebookInstagramPodcastWebsiteYoutube). I am so incredibly grateful for your continued prayer support, love and words of encouragement! Keep those encouraging notes and emails coming! I love you guys and can’t wait to see what our God does next.

Love & Hugs,

“Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person in to the full understanding of truth. It has become my inspiration and passion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity, with His power flowing through me, to present to every believer the revelation of being His perfect one in Jesus Christ.” -Colossians 1:28-29 TPT
